TCMABC & QATCMA join together to create largest TCM association in BC
The 2 largest TCM Associations in BC, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of British Columbia (TCMABC) and the British Columbia Qualified Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Association (QATCMA) have joined together in another step forwards to unifying the profession and creating a stronger voice for the TCM community.
On February 28th, 2010, board members from both associations signed an agreement document outlining the conditions and plans for the TCMABC to join the QATCMA which was formally accepted at the QATCMA Annual General Meeting on March 7th, 2010.
Full transfer of the TCMABC to the QATCMA will occur over the next 6 months in several phases.

As Peter Wood, President of the TCMABC explains,
"the TCMABC has been hard at work throughout the last decade, intent on making our profession stronger. We have achieved great success thanks to the hard work of past and current board members. It is with this momentum of growth and success that we entered into our discussions with the QATCMA. We know that this step forwards will be the catalyst in achieving our common dream of a TCM profession equipped with a strong and unified voice, capable of so much more together than we ever could being apart."
